Skill game regulation differs by state and sometimes by city. Here is how we handle that, what we take responsibility for, and what we do not.
Nothing on this website is legal advice. It describes how NexEra Games approaches compliance. It is not a legal opinion about your location, your licence, your lease or your jurisdiction, and it should not be relied on as one. If the legal status of skill game equipment at your site matters to you — and it should — take advice from an attorney licensed in your state.
The regulation of skill-based amusement equipment differs from state to state, and within some states it differs by county or municipality. Rules change, and they change on legislative and judicial timelines rather than commercial ones. A configuration that is permitted in one jurisdiction may be restricted or prohibited a short drive away.
Every prospective location goes through a jurisdiction review before any equipment is scheduled for delivery. We look at state law, local ordinance where it applies, and any licence conditions attached to the premises. Where we cannot support a placement, we decline it — including when the host would prefer we proceed.
We do not monitor every state, county and municipality for regulatory change on an ongoing basis, and you should not assume we will notice one before you do. Skill game rules move at the local level, often quietly, and the people closest to a change are almost always the ones operating in that jurisdiction.
So this part is shared. Keep an eye on the rules that apply to your own premises, and tell us as soon as something changes — an ordinance, a licence condition, a change of ownership, or simply a rumour worth checking. When we learn a placement is no longer permissible, we remove the affected equipment at our own cost. What we are undertaking is to act on a change, not to have found it first.
Compliance is shared. Being specific about the split is the point of this page.
Where a jurisdiction or a premises licence sets a minimum age for play, the host is responsible for enforcing it on the floor, and we will configure equipment to support that where the platform allows.
Every transaction is electronic and logged. Records are retained and are available to the host for its own machines, and to regulators on lawful request.
Card payment processing is handled through established payment infrastructure. Card data is not stored on the cabinet or the kiosk.
Skill game equipment is entertainment and should be presented that way. We support hosts who want responsible-play signage and will supply it on request.
We do not ship equipment to an address we have not reviewed, and we do not accept a host's assurance in place of that review.
A change of ownership, licence or local ordinance can change the answer. Tell us and we will re-review rather than assume the original review still holds.
The revenue calculator produces an estimate from the inputs you supply and our own assumptions, some of which have not yet been measured across enough live NexEra sites.
No figure anywhere on this website is an offer, a projection, a representation of typical results, or a guarantee of earnings. Actual revenue varies with location, jurisdiction, opening hours, machine mix, foot traffic and player behaviour, and it may be materially lower than any estimate shown here. The only binding statement of commercial terms is the placement agreement you sign.
If you believe anything on this site is inaccurate or misleading, tell us at sales@nexeragames.io and we will correct it.
